description

We don't yet know when we will be able to start having led walks or what restrictions there will be on numbers. This walk, if it is allowed to go ahead, will be subject to Eventbrite booking by following the link under additional notes below (BOOKING CANNOT BE MADE BY PHONE OR EMAIL) but booking will probably not open until a day or two before the walk. If we are allowed to walk earlier then I'll lead the walk on an earlier date

THIS WALK IS OVER GOOD WELL MADE TRACKS, THE HARLAND WAY CYCLE PATH.  UNLESS WE GET EXCEPTIONALLY POOR WEATHER THE ROUTE IS MUD FREE, FLAT, AND SUITABLE FOR TRAINERS. YOU CAN PROBABLY LEAVE YOUR BOOTS AT HOME. IT'S ALSO FINE FOR WHEELCHAIRS, PUSHCHAIRS AND VERY DOG FRIENDLY. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT IT IS A VERY POPULAR CYCLING ROUTE

The walk will start from the Wilderness riverside car park in Wetherby and we will cut across the town to the underpass off Freemans Way under the A168 & A1(M).  The walk continues along good paths, the old railway line, to the village of Walton, We then cross the Thorpe Arch trading estate passing by the British Library before joining another branch of the railway path to take us back to Wetherby.

to book a place please click this link. Booking will only open a few days before the walk when we know for certain the walk can go ahead
