description

This walk climbs up over the golf course to Highfield Farm. We then walk along to Hawpike Farm with spectacular views towards Beamsley Beacon. Down to Bolton Bridge & walk along the east bank of the Wharfe to where we can look down upon Bolton Abbey. Then it's a climb up to Storiths and our lunch stop.

IF NUMBERS PERMIT WE WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO SAMPLE THE DELIGHTS OF "BUFFERS"  A CAFE, TEA ROOM, & TOY SHOP TUCKED AWAY IN STORITHS.

It's then easy walking across fields to Beamsley Hospital now a Landark Trust holiday let. Cross the A59 with care to head towards Deerstones, Kex Beck & Langbar. A bit of up & down or down & up. We skirt the Beacon to finally head back to Addingham.  This walk is well worth the effort for its views but there are a few hills

On the X84 bus route. At time of writing the 9.55 from Leeds City Bus Station will get you to Addingham at 11.25

There is a car park tucked away behind the Swan PH. It looks as if you are entering the pub car park but there is a car park beyond it & as far as I know is free. It's not very well signed
