The maximum number of people on this walk will be 10, including the walk leader.

Starting from Rectory Park, we head South and then West for views along the valley before heading down to the first of many farms. Following a single track road to Briestfield and then Whitley for a lunch stop.

Then following the edge of Dewsbury Golf Club towards Thornhill Lees, the rest of the walk follows the Calder and Hebble Navigation back to the start with a chance to see the ruins of Thornhill Hall and it's moat.

The park has a small car park and addition on-street parking can be found on Valley Road (opposite).
