Coach Rambles:
Our most recent trip was to the seaside to Saltburn on the East Coast. For our next day trip, we are going to Rosedale in the North York Moors on 13th. The cost of the coach is £16.We plan the first pick-up for Bradford: 8.30 then Thornbury Barracks at 8:45 and Leeds at 9:00. We plan the usual A and B walks; we would like to add an extra A + and a C walk for this ramble, if anyone can lead, please come forward to a member of the committe. We will eat at a local pub with a great menu choice for £16.
On 6th December, we will walk in the Malham area, and have our Christmas dinner with festive quiz and raffle.

2026 and 2027 Holidays
We have arranged a self-drive holiday in September 2026 to Grange-over-Sands; most of the rooms are taken and we will be in touch with more details soon.
We have arranged a coach holiday to Melrose in the Scottish Borders for 14th to 18th April 2027; we have used our allocation of rooms.
Coach Ramble general Information
We offer a great day out further afield with someone else driving, walks of different levels either linear or circular, and a welcome meal and drink at the end of the day. There is usually a choice of 3 walks:
- A+ walk: up to 14 miles, at a faster pace and more strenuous;
- A walk: about 10 miles at a moderate pace and to include hills;
- B walk: 6-8 miles at a moderate pace;
- And the option of a C walk (subect to finding someone happy to lead) - 3 or 4 miles gentle walking.
Start times and pick-up points
Coaches start 8.30 from either Bradford or Leeds depending on the destination, calling at Thornbury Barracks at 8.45, then Leeds or Bradford at 9am.

Booking/cost
The cost is usually between £16 and £17 depending on the cost of hiring coaches; it is non-refundable, and payable in advance by BACS or cheque. The cost of the meal (apart from odd occasions like the seaside trips, where we find our own meal) will be around £16, payable at the table. We will aim to find venues offering meals around this price, depending on availability as the hospitality industry has been facing difficult challenges in the last 5 years.

We recommend early reservation. Once numbers are confirmed you will be contacted regarding payment which should be preferably by bank transfer. Cheques sent by post will also be accepted at a small extra cost.
Other information
Please bring a packed lunch and plenty of drinks, particularly on hot days. You will need cash or card for the meal. Many bring a change of clothing for after the walk and this can safely be left on the coach during the day; you will also need clean shoes to wear on the return journey on the coach.
